Abstract
We reconsider the t'Hooft-Veltman type renormalization treatment of polymer properties near the
theta-point. We correct other recent studies, and now demonstrate that the equivalence between this
renormalization scheme and a zero-component field theory or a direct magnitude of the renormalized
third virial coefficient using a new result for the translational diffusion constant at the
theta-point.
